Puglia is a region like no other in Europe. At first glance, one is struck by the unique architecture that helps define the area. The trulli - small, round, conical roofed buildings that are found mainly in small groups and that seem almost to be sprouting from the ground. Then there’s the farming tradition of Puglia. Long known for amazing fresh produce that gets exported all over Europe, organic farms have taken it a step further. The Masseria idea of a farm that encompasses olive groves, fresh produce, wine, etc.. is still alive and well. And the towns. Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Cisternino, all interesting and important centres at different times through the ages. We explore them all and finish our journey in Ostuni, the White City (citta bianca), in the heart of the old village. We look forward to introducing you to Puglia.
