In vino veritas. Europe is the birthplace of wine and it still plays an important role in each country’s culture.
Wine is considered a food - not a drug - and is consumed on a daily basis at the family or other convivial dining table.
Destinations often have wine areas or grape varieties that are regionally
specific given the geography and geology. Learning about the wines or liqueurs or brandies or beers or ciders that originate
from each destination is a particular enriching endeavour and one we think an important part of each trip. Good food and
good wine go together formidably well and proper matching of the two can create a very memorable experience. Meeting the
winemakers in each region gives another insight into the destination itself. They tend to be passionate and welcoming and
eager to introduce us to the precious nectar they help create.
