Today's itinerary
Full breakfast at our hotel.
Two cycling options are available today. One follows the plain east of the Côte while the other climbs to the top of it and over into the region known as the Hautes-Côtes.
Both routes re-connect at the top of the Côte de Beaune in Aloxe-Corton. Here we stop for a tasting lunch at the wine estate of Domaine Senard.
From Aloxe-Corton it’s a short ride to the centre of Beaune and Hotel Le Cep. After check-in we embark on a late afternoon orientation walking tour. We will visit the Notre-Dame Basilica to see the magnificent tapestries, then continue through town passing points of interest and the many local specialty shops that comprise the city centre.
Dinner at leisure in Beaune tonight. With well over 100 restaurants in Beaune one can eat at any level. From Michelin starred restaurants to local pizza joints, most with cartes des vins featuring the local wine, of course.
