Buffet breakfast at La Chouette..

Today we embark on an exploration of the lesser-known appellations in the vineyard area called the Hautes-Côtes. Located above and behind the Côtes de Beaune and Nuits are some great vineyards and winemakers that are worth taking the time to visit.

First stop on the wine trail will be at Domaine Jacob in Echevronne. Known for their wines but also for their liqueurs we will taste both this morning with Christine and Jean-Michel.

From Echevronne we continue on to lunch at one of the most memorable, rustic and enchanting spots in the Hautes-Côtes – Chez Jacky. Hearty food, vin de table and humourous regulars make this place a real hit.

On the way back to Puligny we stop at the Chateau de Beaune to taste the wines and see the site of Bouchard Père et fils. A leading negociant firm in Beaune, this visit is a must for the cellars and garden, and for the wide range of fine wines they produce.

Tonight we enjoy a gourmet BBQ dinner at La Chouette accompanied by great Burgundy. Thierry and Suzanne host a fun and memorable evening.
