Mid-afternoon we transfer into Siena, approximately 30 minutes away. Here we enjoy a privately guided tour of the medieval centre and all its highlights.

Dinner this evening at a great pizzeria in Siena.
|
|
|
Private minibus transfer back to the villa.

Overnight at Villa Collalto.

Siena
In some ways, the city itself appears frozen in time, and many of the traditions from the Medieval and Renaissance periods are still practiced here with great pride. The shopping is terrific in town, particularly on the Banchi di Sopra. In the evening it is wonderful to observe the daily “Passagiata” (The stylish Sienese take a daily evening stroll with their friends and families) along the Banchi di Sopra and into the Piazza del Campo. It is an Italian tradition not to be missed.
